8-Hydroxyquinoline-b-D-glucuronide is a hydroxy derivative of 8-hydroxyquinoline that is produced by the glucuronidation of 8-hydroxyquinoline in rat liver microsomes. This compound has been shown to have genotoxic activity and carcinogenic potential in a model system. The optimum pH for its activity is between 6 and 7.8, with an optimum temperature of 37 degrees Celsius.
