Alphachrome,Remazol brilliant blue carboxymethyl amylose
Alphachrome is an alkali metal (e.g., sodium, potassium, lithium) that is soluble in water. It has been used as a sephadex g-100 coating to bind RNA probes and was shown to be useful for separating DNA fragments by size. It also has been shown to have high resistance against acid detection and can be used as a diluent for protein solutions.
