Ethyl 2-acetamido-3,4,6-tri-O-acetyl-2-deoxy-b-D-glucopyranoside is a compound with a molecular mass of 536.35 Da. It is an inhibitor of the enzyme catalase and has been shown to bind to monoclonal antibodies that are specific for human vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). This inhibition prevents the binding of VEGF to its receptor, which blocks the activation of the VEGF pathway. Ethyl 2-acetamido-3,4,6-tri-O-acetyl-2-deoxy–b D glucopyranoside has also been shown to inhibit HIV replication in vitro.
