2-Acetamido-2-deoxy-3-O-(a-L-fucopyranosyl)-D-glucopyranose is a carbohydrate that has been found in leaves of camellia plants. It can be used as a marker for the identification of camellia plants. 2-Acetamido-2-deoxy-3-O-(a-L-fucopyranosyl)-D-glucopyranose is also thought to be involved in the developmental and metabolic mechanisms of camellia plants, which are still being studied.
