4-Methylumbelliferyl 2-acetamido-2-deoxy-b-D-galactopyranoside-6-sulfate potassium salt is a fluorescent substrate for the enzyme ?-galactosidase, which can be used to measure ?-galactosidase activity in cell lysates. This product is a high purity ligand that can be used as a conjugate for immunological assays. It has been shown to produce chemiluminescence and fluorescence with an emission maximum at 527 nm when excited at 390 nm.
