4-Nitrophenyl 4,6-O-benzylidene-a-D-mannopyranoside is a chromogenic substrate for alpha-mannosidase and beta-glucosidase. It is used as a diagnostic tool for identifying the presence of these enzymes in certain bacteria. This product is also used in food testing, environmental testing, and bioluminescence.
