It has been shown to be an effective ligand for some proteins and can be used as a fluorogenic substrate in fluorescence assays. 5Bromo-6Chloro-3Indolyl a-DGalactopyranoside is an excellent reagent for the measurement of galactose oxidase enzymes and it has also been used as a chromogenic substrate in the assay of ?
