4-Nitrophenyl b-D-galactopyranosiduronic acid,
4-Nitrophenyl b-D-galactopyranosiduronic acid is a chemiluminescent substrate for the detection of ?-galactosidase. It is used for the determination of ?-galactosidase activity in urine, feces, and blood. This product can be used as a chromogenic substrate for the detection of ?-galactosidase in tissue culture medium. 4-Nitrophenyl b-D-galactopyranosiduronic acid is also a fluorogenic substrate which can be conjugated to an enzyme such as horseradish peroxidase or alkaline phosphatase.
