4-Trifluoromethylumbelliferyl b-D-glucuronide potassium salt
4-Trifluoromethylumbelliferyl b-D-glucuronide potassium salt (4TUF) is a fluorogenic substrate used in enzyme and diagnostic research. It is a conjugate of the b-D-glucuronide moiety with 4-trifluoromethylumbelliferone. 4TUF exhibits high quality and purity, which makes it suitable for use in food testing, diagnostics, and other applications requiring high quality fluorogenic substrates. 4TUF can be used as a chromogenic substrate for the detection of glucuronidase activity in cells or tissue cultures. The enzyme hydrolyzes the ester bond between the b-D-glucuronide moiety and 4TUF to release the fluorescent compound 4-trifluoromethylumbelliferone. This product also has been shown to be an effective chemiluminescent substrate for horseradish peroxidase
