Agar oligosaccharide is a functional marine oligosaccharide by depolymerization of agar, with degree of polymerization of 2 to 20, including agar-oligosaccharide and neoagaro-oligosaccharide. The reduced ends of 3, 6-endether -α-L – galactose residues were used as the agar-oligosaccharide, and the reduced ends of neoagaro-oligosaccharide were used as β-D-galactose residues.
