Naphthol AS-MX acetate Naphthol AS-MX acetate is a diazonium salt used in the synthesis of peptides. It has been shown to be a substrate for the enzyme phosphatase. The enzyme phosphatase hydrolyzes the naphthol AS-MX acetate and releases the naphthol, which is then converted into an organic solvent by evaporation. Naphthol AS-MX acetate can also be used as a developer for sedimentation analysis. The pH of the solution determines its solubility, with higher or lower pH being less soluble than neutral pH. This product is also used in the determination of organic acids such as tartrate-resistant acid, which is found in benthic organisms.
