1,2,3,4-Tetra-O-benzyl-a-D-mannopyranoside is an active drug that belongs to the group of thyromimetics. It is a prodrug that is hydrolyzed in vivo to 1,2,3,4-tetra-O-acetyl-a-D-mannopyranose.
