It has been shown to be able to bind nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) with high affinity and selectivity. Carboxymethyl-?-cyclodextrin has also been shown to have a high stability in human serum and urine, as well as redox potentials that are close to physiological conditions. In addition, it can be easily detected by titration calorimetry and antibody binding assays.
